Jesus our Mediator
Our Lord Jesus acts as a go between or mediator between a holy God and sinful man.
By His death on the cross, He removes the obstacle, (sin) which caused an estrangement between man & God. When the sinner accepts the merits of Messiah's sacrifice, the guilt penalty of his sin is his no more, the power of sin in his life is broken, he becomes the recipient of the divine nature, and the estrangment between himself and God, both legal and personal, dissappears.

Jesus spoke..."I am the light of the world," He said. "Whoever follows me will have the light of life and never walk in darkness. John 8:12 (TEV)
